It is a well-known fact that Facebook application consumes a lot of Internet connection data, so incase you are used to check the Facebook app several times a day, it is quite clear that you will consume a lot of your data and the situation becomes worse when you are on a limited data plan.

But now with Facebook’s new Data Saver feature, you can save Internet connection data. By folowing the next steps you will turn on Data Saver on Facebook.

 1- Open Facebook application and log in to your account. Now press the menu in the upper right corner of the app as in the image below.

2- Scroll to Help and Settings and click on the Data Saver option as shown in the image below

3- Press the toggle button to enable the stop data ON button as in the picture below

4- Once you enable the Data Saver feature, you will find another button called, “Always turn off Data Saver on Wi-Fi”. You will find that this option is enabled by default. Please note that if this option is enabled, the data saving mode will be turned off automatically whenever you are Connected to Wi-Fi however if you find the option Data Saver is ON and want to use this option even on Wi-Fi then turn this option off by clicking the toggle button next to it.

5- Now when you return to the main screen, you will see an orange bar at the top of the screen indicating that the Data Saver feature is enabled on the ON position. If you want to deactivate the “Data Saver” feature at any time, first press on the “Settings” option and then click ” Toggle button “next to” Data Saver “as shown in the image below.
