Since the rise of US President Donald Trump to power in the United States of America, the conflict has intensified in what is known as the trade war between America and China, and many Chinese companies such as Huawei and TikTok have been the main victims of this war, but in addition to that, the famous application WeChat in turn suffers from major problems.

Trump issued an executive order on August 6 granting a 45-day grace period before issuing sanctions on all companies dealing with ByteDance, the developer of the TikTok application, in addition to the WeChat application for chatting and instant messaging, as the Ministry of Commerce will track the activities of transactions between US companies that are breaking this ban.

And it seems that this will encourage WeChat to go to the US judiciary against Trump’s decision, as a report by the American economic newspaper “The Financial Times” indicated that a consortium of Chinese application users is the “WeChat Users Alliance” preparing to file a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s administration, accusing the latter of  violating the First Amendment to the US Constitution, which relates to freedom of expression guaranteed to all Americans, and it also prevents Americans of Chinese origin from communicating with their families in China.

TikTok had expressed its outrage at the US action, which it considered illegal, while indicating that it reserves the right to take all means to justice in order to ensure that the rule of law is not marginalized and that the company and its users are treated fairly, if not by the US administration then at least By the American courts, which means that the company will turn to the courts to face Trump’s executive order regarding it.
