With the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, and since the beginning of this year, many innovations have emerged that mix the technical side with the health aspect to overcome this pandemic, and one of the latest of these innovations, is a new smart necklace created by the American Space Agency NASA.

While the health authorities across the world, especially the World Health Organization, through its directives in this regard, stress that avoiding direct contact with the face before washing hands, this becomes a major challenge for everyone, and is the reason that prompted NASA to launch open source instructions for a printed necklace Through 3D printing technology, it is the necklace that helps users to stop touching their faces.

The new smart collar that bears the name “Pulse” is the innovation of three engineers from the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, where the pendant contains a proximity sensor and a vibration motor, and it warns the user as soon as he moves his hands within 12 inches of his face through vibrations That increases as the hands get closer to the face,

And as it comes to open source instructions, new Pulse pendant printing is possible by downloading a list of user parts and CAD 3D printing designs and directions on how to make the pendant for free that NASA says is easy to install and affordable.
